Erica Smith Erica Smith, M.Ed., is an award winning, nationally recognized sex educator with over 21 years of experience. She is the creator of Purity Culture Dropout, an intensive sexuality education and coaching program for folks who were raised in purity culture and who are seeking the queer inclusive, shame free, trauma informed, medically accurate, and comprehensive sex education they need.

For most of her career, Erica provided sex education, HIV prevention, and advocacy to young people in juvenile detention. Erica believes that access to compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based sexuality education is a key component to wellness and equality for all.

Erica is a wealth of information when it comes to understanding and talking about sexuality. She’s informative, data driven, and helps people breakdown barriers and fears when it comes to talking about sex. On this episode, we talk about her years of experience in education around sex, and we talk about cultural shifts in the conversation that are so important to note and understand.
